RentOK.com presents this privacy policy to explain how we utilize your private information. To some extent, devoid of such information, RentOK.com would not be able to operate. We endeavor, however, to maintain a safe site for everybody who visits RentOK.com.

Collection of Information

RentOK.com does gather personal data with your expressed consent and acceptance of our Terms of Service. We gather this information for internal use only. We do not peddle or publish your information to a third party other than as a classified posting on our website. The data that you submit in postings, which appear on the website, however, will certainly be seen by the outside world. We collect the following data with your concurrence:

Personal information

We do gather private data that you submit to us (phone nos., email addresses, etc).

IP address

We do gather your IP address, but we do not post or release this information to anyone. We gather this information to assist us in preventing abuse and spam. We reserve the right to block any IP address of individuals who may be abusing our systems.

Email address

This is asked during registration so RentOK.com may be able to correspond with you. We never display your email address to other visitors on the website. Communication is handled via our built-in messaging system.

Log Files

Like other websites, we gather and utilize the data contained in log files. The data in the log files include your ISP (internet service provider), your IP (internet protocol) address, the browser you used to visit our site, the time you visited our site, and the pages you visited throughout our site.

Information Use

You may not use information collected from our site to send spam or collect personal information from someone who has not agreed to that.

Removal of Information

RentOK.com will eliminate your information from our database within five business days from the time you tender a request for removal. Listings will stay on the site for approximately two months unless we receive a request for removal.

Abuse, Fraud, Spam, and Discrimination

RentOK.com has a zero tolerance policy for any of these issues. Evidently, as a public bulletin board, we are open to abuse. If you suspect that a fraudulent ad has been posted on our site, or if you believe that your personal data has been posted or utilized without your expressed consent, please contact us and we will respond appropriately.

RentOK.com uses cookies. "Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. For our site to function, cookies are needed.
